The Drifters, a trend setting R&B vocal group with Sixteen top 40 hits to their credit, began their recording on Atlantic Records in 1953. First entering Billboard's Top 40 charts in June of 1959 with "There Goes My Baby", The Drifters went all the way to the Number Two position, where it stayed for fourteen weeks. In September of 1960, The Drifters hit again with "Save The Dance For Me", a Number One smash that spent another fourteen weeks on Billboard's Top 40 Charts. 1962 was marked by the memorable "UP On The Roof" followed in 1963 by the ever popular "On Boardwalk". In July of 1964 The Drifters entered the Top 40 Charts again with the unforgettable "Under the Boardwalk", a Number Four hit single that spen twelve weeks on the chart. Since ther chart-topping days, Benny Anderson and he Sounds of The Drifters have continued to entertain thousands on the concert stage and at corporate events and conventions coast-to-coast.
