Entertainment for Seniors

Steve Chapman, singer/pianist, and the Steve Chapman Trio have been entertaining seniors for years in northeast Florida. More than a collection of songs, their programs are interactive (can include sing-a-longs, audience stories, questions and answers, etc.)

dramatic (most programs weave the songs into a story or theme)
humorous (from snickers to belly laughs)
nostalgic (relive some of your fondest memories), and
emotional (remember the people and events that were important in your life)

The programs designed for seniors include

Best of Broadway, a revue of some of the best Broadway show tunes with a few trivia questions
Stages of Romance, a program that helps you to remember and re-live your relationship with your spouse, through all its stages
Irish Sing-A-Long , a celebration of Irish music with big-print song sheets
Summer Songs , a program of songs about the good ol’ summertime
Motherhood—A Journey of Love, a program that honors mothers and helps them to remember the journey
Steve Chapman Plays Your Requests allows seniors to request and hear their favorite songs
Patriotic Sing-A-Long includes 25 patriotic songs of the USA in big-print songbooks
Christmas Sing-A-Long allows seniors to request and sing their favorite sacred and secular Christmas songs (indexed songbooks are provided)
A Celebration of Christmas is a concert of sacred and secular songs of the season with a few sing-a-long tunes
Each program is 60 minutes in length but can be presented in a 30-45 minute format. All of these programs can be performed solo with a piano or electronic keyboard. For greater impact and enjoyment, you can request a duo or trio by adding a bass player and/or a drummer.

Steve and his Duo or Trio have provided entertainment for the 2006 convention of the Florida Retired Educators Association and have also performed at Cypress Village, River Garden, The Coves, Augustine Landing, Allegro at Fleming Island, Southside Baptist Church, etc. The Steve Chapman Trio or Quartet are also available for parties and dances.
